On the afternoon of March 10, 2023, the Student Party Branch of Kuang Yaming Honors School held a party congress at the Zhenggang Lecture Hall. Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhou An, and Secretary of the Youth League, Si Linmin, attended the meeting and participated in the assessment for the probationary party members' conversion to regular members.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Branch Secretary Ms. Zhu Lili led the study of Secretary Tan Tieniu's speech about "Embarking on a New Journey" at Nanjing University, and emphasized that student party members should take the lead in studying and implementing the "Embarking on a New Journey" spirit, firmly shoulder the political responsibility of building the "First NJU", enhance their sense of responsibility to "never feel at ease", and strive for progress with great momentum.
The second item on the agenda was the probationary party members' conversion to regular members' oral defense, which was conducted by six students, including Wu Yuxin, Gu Rui, Wang Zi’ang, Liu Jiaxin, Wang Xiaoru, and Wan Rongyu. The six students demonstrated their progress and achievements during their probationary period from various aspects such as ideological thinking, learning, scientific research, and social practice. They summarized the existing problems and deficiencies and expressed their determination to join the Communist Party of China once again. Secretary Zhou An congratulated the students for their progress and achievements during this period and urged them to: first, further improve their political stance, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "Two Definite", strengthen the "Four Consciousnesses," firmly establish the "Four Confidences," and achieve the "Two Maintenances." Second, maintain ideological advancement, adhere to political theory learning, and strengthen the study of the "Four Histories." Thirdly, maintain a positive attitude in action. They should use their own actions to prove themselves, be able to endure hardships and work hard, have a spirit of dedication, actively play the role of party member pioneers and models among their classmates, and serve and lead their peers.

Later, the party branch conducted a democratic appraisal meeting. Teacher Zhu Lili summarized the work of the student party branch in 2022 from aspects such as political construction, ideological construction, and organizational construction, and proposed the work plan for 2023 based on the actual situation. Each party member conducted criticism and self-criticism seriously. Each party member conducted a democratic appraisal of the party branch and all formal party members of the branch by filling in the democratic appraisal form.

Through this meeting, branch party members carefully studied the relevant connotations of "unity and struggle, striving for excellence, putting words into action, and keeping up with the times" in the vigorous campaign, and will remain committed to following the Party's lead unwaveringly, remembering their mission, and being loyal and responsible.
